Think you know why sneakers hang over power lines? Think again!
So the guys over at Closer Productions put this award-winning short documentary together back in 2010 to find the true meaning behind the internationally symbolic act of hanging sneakers over power lines. If you’ve got 15min its a must watch!
“Murder, sex, drugs, art, politics… sneakers hanging on power lines have become a powerful urban symbol, inspiring genesis theories both hilarious and sinister. In an effort to get to the truth once and for all we asked the people of earth to help us solve this mystery. Using an on-line call out and a phone message bank, this documentary was made entirely from donated photographs, phoned-in theories, video, vlogs, and animation.
We were thrilled to be down at the action at the 11th annual Vans BOWL-A-RAMA Bondi! Our Innie Crew was hanging with all the local and international skaters showing them how Innie can benefit their skate shoes.

Full-time jobs suck, that is of course unless you are mega babe Alex Drewniak who used her creative skillz to forge a career in the music festival scene. Chilling backstage, photographing the hottest artists and being a guest list regular are just a few of the perks Lady Drewniak enjoys. Alex takes some time out to tell us what it’s all about:
Our first Sneaker Freaker swapmeet went off!
We took part in our first Sneaker Freaker swapmeet at the Globe warehouse in Melbourne and it was awesome! With huge crowds of sneaker heads, tunes blasting and Hero cranking out the tasty subs, it certainly set the scene for our innie stall.
We believe innie is more than just a brand, it’s a way of life. We stand for creativity, innovation and pushing the boundaries just that little bit further. We love meeting crazy, wild, people who follow the same philosophy. Inspiring those around them to do things a bit differently. These cool kids are what we call the Innie Muses & Misfits.
Check out the first instalment of Muses & Misfits.
It feels like summer is just around the corner – bring on festivals, beaches, surfing and road-trips! To celebrate Innie joining the City Beach crew we found 5 must have items to add to your summer wish list!
Take the party anywhere and everywhere with a portable speaker, perfect for beach parties, picnics or when you’re road-tripping in a shitty car with no CD player.
Our good mate Jake just got put in the Big Brother 2014 house! Not only is he a pretty face but he also has some pretty rad skating skills. You can check his foot modelling debut out here in this awesome video he made for us!
We hope you packed some Innie’s to share with your new Big Brother friends! Good luck Jake!
